Nijisanji Vtuber Maimoto Keisuke to take indefinite hiatus due to health issues


The talented Vtuber from Nijisanji, Maimoto Keisuke, has announced that he will take an “indefinite break” due to health problems in a recent streaming and through his social networks. Maimoto Keisuke’s activities will be suspended starting September 1, 2023. It is important to note that the announcement specifically referred to this period as a break, rather than a definitive graduation.

The Vtuber shared his situation in a stream, which unfortunately is only available in Japanese. In said stream, Maimoto Keisuke mentioned that he has been dealing with health issues for a while. He also issued an official statement where he confirmed the date on which his break will begin and thanked people for their support.

This decision comes after his first appearance on the Nijiban Nijisanji chat show on August 13, 2023, as well as his participation in the company’s Koshien Summer event during this month. However, there were already signs that something was happening. On August 5, 2023, Maimoto Keisuke confirmed that he would not participate in the NIJIFes 2023 event. At that time, he announced that he would have more news in the future. This event is scheduled to be held in Japan between December 23 and 24, 2023.

Maimoto Keisuke debuted in August 2018 and joined the company along with other Nijisanji Seeds members such as Amemori Sayo, Asuka Hina, Harusaki Air, Kanda Shoichi, and Takamiya Rion. The news of his indefinite hiatus has left his fans concerned for his well-being, and the community of Vtubers and fans are expressing their support for him and wishing him a speedy recovery.

Nijisanji Vtuber Maimoto Keisuke’s hiatus will begin on September 1, 2023. The community is hopeful that he will return in full health to continue sharing his talent and joy with all his followers.
