The PlayStation 5 version of the first-person atmospheric horror game, Scorn, will be released on October 3, according to the announcement from Kepler Interactive and Ebb Software, the game’s publisher and developer respectively. “We are incredibly excited to announce the release date of Scorn on PlayStation 5 and bring our nightmarish experience to a new group of players,” said Ljubomir Peklar, game director at Ebb Software, in a press release.
“We’ve taken full advantage of the capabilities of DualSense to increase the level of immersion when playing on the PlayStation 5. From the controller’s haptic feedback that varies depending on the sound in the game and the intensity of the situation, to the adaptive triggers that make Every tool and weapon feel unique. “The introduction of these features takes the horrors of Scorn to a whole new level, engaging players in a completely fresh way.”
Additionally, an exclusive physical edition will be available at select retailers for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, distributed in collaboration with Maximum Games. It will include the full game, a limited edition SteelBook case, the original soundtrack, and a digital art book. Scorn was first released for Xbox Series and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG on October 14, 2022, it was also available on Xbox Game Pass. Kepler Interactive and Ebb Software announced today that the game has surpassed two million players since its launch.
Here’s a summary of the game provided by Kepler Interactive: Scorn immerses players in a nightmarish, dreamlike world unlike any they’ve experienced before. With grotesque visuals inspired by the works of HR Giger, the goal in Scorn is to guide an unfortunate creature through a biomechanical labyrinthine world on a journey of self-discovery. However, the ruins of the civilization that existed there before, as well as the foul abominations that inhabit the ruined halls, stand in their way. By solving its puzzles and interacting with its strange inhabitants, players will progress through Scorn’s various themed areas. Navigate a world of stunning visuals, discover the secrets of its cruel machines, and come to understand what exactly Scorn’s world is and how your own putrid character fits into it.
