The Big Con arrives on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on August 31

Skybound Games and developer Mighty Yell are pleased to announce that the adventure game The Big Con will be available for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 through the PlayStation Store on August 31. This exciting adventure was first released for Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store on August 31, 2021.

In The Big Con, players take on the role of Ali, a curious and sarcastic high school student who decides to leave band camp to embark on a cross-country road trip. But this is no joy ride, Ali is on a crucial mission to save her family’s video library from the ruthless lenders who are threatening to shut it down. She cons strangers, outsmarts people, and cons ordinary people in quirky ’90s America. And, of course, she lies to your mom about it all. You decide who deserves to be scammed and who could use a helping hand.

The world is your oyster (and, hey, pearls are worth a lot!). Convert people your way. Use disguises, move stealthily, listen to conversations and learn how to approach each target. Maybe you think you can make enough money just by stealing from others. Or look for more complex scams involving break-ins, persuasion, and more. It’s up to you to outwit everyone and pick any lock that stands between you and saving your mom’s video library.

If there is a sure way to discover who you are, it is by embarking on an adventure. Fortunately, you have the help of a scam expert to teach you the elusive art of charm. But the life of crime is no laughing matter, unless you act like you’re in a crime comedy! Get ready to negotiate deals, win hearts and get into trouble. And don’t forget to call home from time to time to contact your mom. You may argue with her sometimes (most of the time?), but you’re a teenager, it’s kind of your job!

Whether you’re a ’90s kid or not, this game is oozing with nostalgia. It gives you the perfect opportunity to relive your awkward high school years, or if you sadly missed the ’90s, finally experience all the classic teen movies that feel so old and outdated. Plaids, phone booths, VHS tapes and shopping malls – The Big Con has all the wacky fashions you remember (and some you’d rather forget) from the 1990s. But most importantly, you can ride the Hormipillar as much as you want! !
