Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have revealed the third official trailer and exciting new screenshots of their upcoming game, Fate/Samurai Remnant. This title is immersed in the Fate universe and promises an epic experience of the Holy Grail War in Edo period Japan. Players take on the role of a young samurai named Miyamoto Iori alongside his Servant, Saber.
Exploration and activities in Edo period Japan
Fate/Samurai Remnant will take players to explore the city of Edo and experience a variety of activities, such as strolling through the streets in the company of various Servants, shopping at the mysterious “Babyloni-ya” store, or visiting famous places scattered throughout Edo. Accompanied by Saber, Iori will complete a variety of side quests to earn money and necessary materials. He will also be called upon to referee fights between other characters.
Upgrades and strategic battles
To face powerful opponents in fearsome battles, players will be able to upgrade not only Iori’s skill tree, but also those of Saber and other Rogue Servants, unlocking various skills and abilities that they can equip. Additionally, they will be able to strengthen Iori’s abilities through her sword mounts and fill Saber’s “Ring of Remembrance” to unlock new abilities and improve the relationship between Master and Servant.
Strategic combat
Combat in Fate/Samurai Remnant is characterized by three key meters: the “Affinity Meter,” the “Substitution Meter,” and the “Hidden Sword Meter.” These meters are essential to triumph in even the most formidable battles. The “Affinity Meter” allows you to use the powerful affinity technique and give orders to your Servant. The “Substitution Meter” allows you to temporarily control the Servant directly. Lastly, the “Hidden Sword Meter” indicates when Iori’s special technique can be unleashed.
