TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4: Bush Rescue Returns is coming to Nintendo Switch on September 26

Developer Krome Studios has announced that TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4: Bush Rescue Returns will be released for the Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop on September 26. The game will be priced at $19.99, but users who pre-order it will be able to get it at a 25 percent discount, priced at $14.99.

New features and nostalgic gameplay

Robert Walsh, CEO of Krome Studios, commented in a press release: “We are excited to deliver this enhanced edition of TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4: Bush Rescue Returns with a host of new features along with nostalgic gameplay. “It is exciting for us that fans will see another side of TY, as they fully immerse themselves in his world and experience his platforming adventures on the Nintendo Switch.”

Animated scenes and improved audio

Creative Director Steve Stamatiadis added: “The new animated scenes in this edition are a labor of love that will be a highlight for TY fans. “We wanted to create an animated comic-style experience that showcases the beauty of the Australian landscape and the charm and personality of our beloved TY characters.”

Audio Director George Stamatiadis said: “We made sure to include a lot of audio in this enhanced edition for gamers. The soundtrack nearly doubles the number of tracks along with re-recorded, re-edited and enhanced sound effects. Our ambient sounds were completely revamped with new recordings of bird calls such as crows, kookaburras and other native birds. Unfortunately, the cassowary once again proved to be difficult, so he didn’t make it to the recording studio.”

An overview of the game

TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4: Bush Rescue Returns is an enhanced edition of the 2D side-scrolling platformer that originally appeared on PC. The iconic Australian comic-style hero defies extinction and returns with an exciting new series of adventures. Krome Studios is adding full English voices, double the music, remastered animated cutscenes, improved performance, and more to the Nintendo Switch version.
