Broken Roads, the post-apocalyptic narrative RPG, will be released on November 14

The long-awaited post-apocalyptic narrative RPG Broken Roads will be released on November 14 on Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC through Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG, as announced by publisher Versus Evil and developer Drop Bear Bytes. Versions for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch will arrive at a later date.

Broken Roads promises to deliver a deep and moving experience filled with meaningful choices that will allow for endless role-playing options. Game director Craig Ritchie mentioned that they wanted to create a fully immersive world based on their native Australia, offering an authentic view of this post-apocalyptic wasteland.

The game features a class system that offers a wide variety of character development options based on four philosophies: Humanist, Utilitarian, Machiavellian, and Nihilist. It also introduces a unique morality system: the Moral Compass, where dialogue decisions and choices in quests will influence and be influenced by a character’s philosophical inclination.

Broken Roads is notable for its focus on Australia’s geographical and cultural authenticity, as the team visited real locations in Western Australia to faithfully recreate the game’s environments. Additionally, the game’s atmospheric soundtrack uses instruments constructed from everyday objects to create a unique listening experience.

Fans of narrative RPGs and moral choices will find a lot to look forward to in Broken Roads when it releases in November.
