Lovers of side-scrolling robot shooters have a reason to get excited, as publisher and developer City Connection, along with Granzella, have announced that FZ: Formation Z will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam in 2024 worldwide. While additional platforms are being considered, what they will be has not yet been determined.
When FZ: Formation Z was first announced in October 2022, City Connection mentioned that it would be available for PlayStation 4 and other platforms to be announced. However, it seems that the PlayStation 4 version is no longer in the plans.
FZ: Formation Z will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2023, which will take place from September 21 to 24 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan. This will give attendees the opportunity to experience the game before its official release.
The game promises an intense robot shooting experience in a side-scrolling format, with updated graphics and sound design. Players will be able to take the form of a humanoid robot or the form of an airship to defeat their enemies in exciting battles.
