Sony Interactive Entertainment and Arrowhead Game Studios have announced a change in the release date of Helldivers IIwhich will now arrive on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on February 8, 2024, pushing back its previously planned release window to 2023.
Helldivers II promises an exciting third-person cooperative shooter experience in a hostile galactic setting. In this game, players will join teams of up to four friends to confront an alien threat that threatens the safety of their home planet, Super Earth.
The game allows players to embody the Helldivers, an elite soldier whose mission is to spread peace, freedom and Managed Democracy using the biggest, baddest and most explosive tools in the galaxy. Helldivers don’t go to planets without proper backup, but it’ll be up to you to decide when and how to request it. In addition to having a number of super-powered main weapons and customizable outfits, you’ll also have the ability to call up stratagems during the game.
Helldivers II features Arrowhead’s best cooperative gameplay to date. Collaboration will be vital: teams will need to synchronize their sets, plan their approach for each mission, and complete objectives together.
This delay in release will allow the developers to further polish and refine the gameplay experience, which will no doubt excite fans who are looking forward to the continuation of this exciting franchise.
