Square Enix has excited Final Fantasy fans with the announcement of the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for PlayStation 5, scheduled for February 29, 2024. This game is the anticipated new story in the Final Fantasy VII remake project, which reimagines the iconic original game in three independent titles, all created by its original developers.

In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, players will be able to enjoy new elements as the story unfolds, culminating in the group’s journey to “The Forgotten Capital” from the original Final Fantasy VII. After escaping the dystopian city of Midgar, Cloud and his friends embark on a journey across the planet. New adventures await in a vibrant, expansive world: race across grasslands in Chocobos and explore expansive environments.

As the group searches for Sephiroth, players will explore the beautiful and vast regions of the world, unlocking new areas to discover. Delve deeper into the world of Final Fantasy VII with rewarding side content and mini-games, plus a variety of unique forms of transportation to navigate the world.

Combine strategic thinking with exciting action combat with your companions, including new characters added. Strengthen their relationships to unleash powerful team-based combos. In this standalone adventure for fans and newcomers alike, Cloud and his companions will travel the planet, their destinies yet to be written, making every step outside the dystopian city of Midgar fresh and mysterious.

Final Fantasy fans can expect an exciting experience and a new take on a beloved classic when Final Fantasy VII Rebirth arrives on PlayStation 5 in February 2024.
