Square Enix has excited fans by releasing new information and screenshots of Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Princefeaturing the game’s story and key characters, as well as some of the iconic Dragon Quest IV: The Chapters of the Chosen locations that players will be able to visit.
Fans of the closely related story of Dragon Quest IV: The Chapters of the Chosen will also see the return of several iconic locations throughout Psaro’s quest to become the Master of Monsters. Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince offers fans an alternate representation of the events during Dragon Quest IV: The Chapters of the Chosen, exploring the untold story from the perspective of Psaro, the enigmatic prince of monsters, who swore revenge against the ruthless and cruel Master of Monsters, Randolfo the Tyrant.
Psaro’s mother, Miriam, is human, and his father is the Monster Master, Randolfo the Tyrant, making Psaro the semi-human prince of Nadiria, the world of monsters. Tragically, Miriam is seriously ill, and Psaro ventures to Nadiria to ask her father to cure her. Randolfo rejects his pleas outright and proceeds to curse Psaro so that he can never directly harm a creature of monstrous blood, triggering Psaro’s quest to avenge his father’s cruelty and rule Nadiria for himself.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince will be released for Switch on December 1st worldwide. Fans can expect an exciting story that delves into the origins of one of the most enigmatic characters in the Dragon Quest universe.
