Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Game Studio have released a new trailer for SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada, titled “Old Amasia Investigation,” which introduces the story of the single-player mode. The story description reads: “Learn how Amasia’s underground shelter came to ruin. As players investigate, they will find fragments of the history between the Drifter Alba and her Magus, Ada, and how they were related to the fall of Amasia. It also introduces Doctor Dothan Kuze, who rescued Alba from Amasian captivity and connected him to Ada.”
SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada takes place in the year 2222, years after a mysterious poisonous rain called “The Tears of the New Moon” decimated humanity and gave rise to deformed creatures that now hunt the population. In the midst of the calamity, the humans build an underground shelter called Amasia, where they discover and begin collaborating with forms of artificial intelligence called Magus.
In the game, players will step into the shoes of Drifters, people who make a living collecting AO crystals, a rare resource available on Earth. In this quest, they must face xenomorphic creatures known as Enders, while enlisting the help of Magus, their AI companions, to guide them on their journey, assist them in fights, and provide directions, clues, and warnings. At the same time, they will develop and strengthen the bond between the player and the AI.
Gameplay and combat in SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada centers around Cradle Coffins, armed vehicles that players can control and fully customize, from appearance to weapon loadouts, to suit their own play style. Players can also join other Drifters online to help them on their missions or hinder their progress by fighting to loot their valuable resources.
SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. A release date has not yet been announced.
