Rocket Panda Games has announced Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimatea remastered version of the side-scrolling fighting game, rebuilt from the ground up with Unreal Engine 5. The game will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in 2024 Worldwide.

Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate revitalizes the classic anime game with improved graphics, Improved gameplay and a variety of exciting new features, making it the definitive version of the game. Fans of the original and newcomers alike will be immersed in a captivating world of action and adventure like never before.
The game’s plot revolves around a mysterious man known as the Phantom, who awakens and devises a plan to unleash his dark powers. By giving ancient weapons known as the FA (Fu-mension Artifacts) young people with special abilities, he convinces them to fight each other with the promise of fulfilling the winners’ wishes. However, whenever the Fu-mension Artifacts are used in battle, they create a rift between parallel worlds, which will inevitably unleash the Phantom’s powers.
Waka, the daughter of the Kumon Family, a clan in charge of protecting the world from the Phantom, and her friend Mikoto, try to stop him. However, in an alternate timeline, the Phantom manages to escape and kidnaps Waka’s younger sister, Nagi. Waka and Mikoto, along with Itsuki, the self-proclaimed “Arbiter of Justice,” and Yuzuha, a ninja who is not swayed by the Phantom’s appeal, embark on a mission to rescue Nagi and stop her evil plan.
