AMEDAMA trial version now available

IzanagiGames and ACQUIRE have announced the release of a demo for the side-scrolling, soul-swapping action adventure game, AMEDAMAavailable for PC through Steam.

AMEDAMA is a completely new experience that combines side scrolling, soul swapping and action in a sandbox environment. Developed by ACQUIRE and published by IzanagiGames, this game features character design by lack (known for Fate/Grand Order and Touken Ranbu) and music by Yuko Komiyama (known for the Monster Hunter series).

The historical Japanese setting of AMEDAMA comes to life with a stunning pixel art style. The story follows Yushin and his sister Yui, who run a local umbrella shop. On a fateful rainy night, a group of men break into the store, murdering Yushin in front of Yui’s eyes. With nothing but his soul, Yushin embarks on a desperate fight, possessing any body he can find in his quest to find his sister and discover the truth behind her disappearance.

With only seven days before his soul fades away completely, will he be able to save it in time? Players will be transported to feudal Japan in the final years of the Edo period and experience an exciting story of rain and reincarnation, all presented with stunning 2D graphics.

AMEDAMA is scheduled to launch on PC via Steam in 2023, with support for “additional platforms” planned. Video game lovers can try the demo to get a preview of this exciting adventure.
