Atari announces Berzerk: Recharged for PC and consoles

Atari and developer SneakyBox have released exciting news for fans of classic video games with the announcement of “Berzerk: Recharged“. This is a reimagining of the iconic 1980s shooter, “Berzerk,” coming to multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, as well as Atari VC in 2023.

“Berzerk: Recharged” will challenge you to take on a deadly maze filled with waves of menacing vocal robots. Your only hope of survival will be your skill with the twin controls and the use of power-ups as you shoot your way from room to room in this endless dystopian maze. However, you must not forget that Evil Otto may smile, but he is mortal and invulnerable.

As with all Recharged games, you’ll have the opportunity to compete for the best score in arcade mode or take on carefully crafted challenges to test your shooting and dodging skills. And if the going gets tough, you can always invite a friend to double your firepower in local co-op.

The atmosphere of this exciting reimagining will be enhanced by Megan McDuffee’s original soundtrack, which perfectly captures the atmosphere of a terrifying space showdown and the spirit of the classic 80s arcades.

The announcement of “Berzerk: Recharged” has excited the gaming community, allowing old-school fans to relive the excitement of the classic “Berzerk” with a new perspective and improved features. The scheduled 2023 release date is an important marker for fans of the game eagerly awaiting its return.
