Microids Reveals Official Flashback 2 Story Trailer

Microids has released the official story trailer for Flashback 2. “In the heart of a dystopian future, the game’s hero, Conrad B. Hart, must confront the fearsome Morphs who seek to enslave all life in the solar system,” reads the press release. “To prevent them from carrying out their diabolical plan, players will have to deploy all their skills in a fast-paced platform and shooting game that offers surprising fluidity and precision.”

In the 22nd century, the United Worlds spread throughout the Solar System, but this tranquility is threatened by the invasion of the Morph led by the fearsome General Lazarus. In search of his lifelong friend, Ian, Conrad B. Hart once again plunges into an adventure full of twists, surprises and revelations with the help of his allies and his artificially intelligent weapon AISHA.

In 1992, Flashback revolutionized action games and achieved legendary status, ranking among the 100 best video games in history. Developed by the game’s original creator, Paul Cuisset, in collaboration with Microids studios in Lyon/Paris, Flashback 2 will offer an experience faithful to the Flashback universe, reuniting some members of the original Flashback team, such as Thierry Perreau in design of the game and Raphael Gesqua, the renowned composer of the Amiga version of Flashback.

Flashback 2 will be available digitally for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam on November 16. Physical versions will follow on November 30 in Europe and in early 2024 in North America.

Flashback fans can look forward to the return of this iconic franchise and its exciting adventure into the dystopian future.
