Publisher Nacon and developer Appeal Studios have released an exciting four-minute trailer for the co-op action-adventure game Gangs of Sherwood. The game promises an epic experience in the world of Robin Hood.
The story of the Lionheart and the tyranny of the Sheriff of Nottingham
The plot of Gangs of Sherwood is set during the last Crusades, when King Richard of England and his army discover a miraculous stone called the Lionheart. This stone has extraordinary properties that drive unprecedented technological advancement in the kingdom. However, greed for the Lionheart makes him an object of desire and excessive power. The Sheriff of Nottingham seizes it to assert his authority and oppress the English people. In response to this tyranny, a resistance movement is formed to defeat the Sheriff’s army and free the people from his ruthless rule.
Four iconic heroes lead the rebellion
Four iconic heroes from the legend of Robin Hood lead this rebellion in Gangs of Sherwood. Players will be able to take on the role of these characters, each with their unique playstyle and a wide variety of customizable abilities. Characters include Maid Marian, expert assassin and daughter of the Sheriff; Friar Tuck, a monk and healer; Little John, a warrior with a fist of steel; and, of course, the famous archer Robin of Locksley. As you progress through the game, you will be able to unlock new combos and fragments that will allow you to perform increasingly powerful and spectacular combos.
A cooperative experience for up to four players
Although Gangs of Sherwood can be played solo from start to finish, it has been designed primarily as a cooperative experience for up to four players. Players can customize their heroes according to their fighting style and leverage the strengths of their teammates to create devastating synergies and triumph over the Sheriff of Nottingham’s army.
Release date
Gangs of Sherwood is scheduled for release on November 2 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Lovers of epic adventures and team cooperation can look forward to the arrival of this exciting game.
