Born of Bread will arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch and PC in December


Born of Breada turn-based role-playing adventure with a homebrew twist, will launch on December 5 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, according to the announcement made by publisher Dear Villagers and developer WildArts.

WildArts lead designer and programmer Nicolas Lamarche expressed his excitement in a press release, saying: “We are very excited to be able to bring Born of Bread to people in time for the holidays, as it is an endearing adventure that feels perfect for the whole family. Born of Bread was inspired by the classic comedy role-playing games of our childhood that have stuck with us for decades. Fortunately, the genre remains timeless, and we believe fans of all ages will be nourished by Loaf’s journey.”

Guillaume Jamet, head of publishing at Dear Villagers, added: “Born of Bread is genuinely fun, endearing, has a strong visual identity and, best of all, is fun to play! “It truly is a gift for all ages, and we can’t wait for players to finally get their hands on it in December.”

Born of Bread is a turn-based RPG adventure with a homebrew twist that pays homage to classic cartoony RPGs filled with fun characters and charming stories for kids and adults alike. Creatures from another era are wreaking havoc on the world, and their mischief poses a great threat to everyone. The most unlikely of heroes, Loaf, a golem born of bread with endless childlike curiosity, will find himself and his new friends in the middle of a drama thousands of years in the making.

Explore a wonderful world full of mysteries, from the enigmatic ruins of the Forest of Roots to the icy landscapes of Frosty Flats. With the help of your friends, face fearsome villains and participate in hybrid turn-based and real-time combat full of fun and uniqueness.
