Cygames and Arc System Works have announced a delay in the release of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, which was originally scheduled for November 30, but will now be released on December 14. This title will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC through Steam.
The delay is due to the need to polish and improve the game after the first tests carried out. Tetsuya Fukuhara, creative director, shared a message explaining the reason behind this decision. After the first online beta in July, the development team went to great lengths to readjust the game’s mechanics and battle layout for the initial release date. Despite their best efforts, it became clear that additional time would be required to perfect the game.
Fukuhara mentioned that the changes to the battle mechanics were revealed during a System Balance and Tweaks stream on October 20, and during the first public playtest in “Granblue Fantasy: Versus Official Tournament, Vol. 7” last weekend. week. These modifications were very well received, but affected more modes than anticipated. To meet player expectations, it was decided to take an additional two weeks to polish and debug the game and deliver a high-quality product.
Despite the delay, it is guaranteed that the second beta schedule will not be affected. Granblue Fantasy Versus fans can expect an improved and more polished game when it releases on December 14.
