Alina of the Arena will arrive on consoles on November 23: a strategic combat and deck-building experience

The roguelike deckbuilder “Alina of the Arena” will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch on November 23 for $14.99, publisher DANGEN Entertainment and developer PINIX announced. Initially released in Early Access for PC via Steam on January 14, 2022, followed by a full release on October 14, 2022, the game has seen success on the platform and is now expanding to consoles.

Max Chen of PINIX said in a press release: “We are extremely proud of the success Alina of the Arena has achieved on PC and can’t wait to share it with more players around the world.”

Game Description: “Alina of the Arena” combines elements of roguelike deck-building and tactics, immersing players in the role of Alina, a formidable gladiator who must face relentless combat in front of a bloodthirsty crowd to survive, round after round.

The uniqueness of “Alina of the Arena” lies in its fusion of roguelike deck-building mechanics with strategic hex-based combat, transcending the traditional notion of attack and defense. Through deck building, equipment, and upgrades, players can create their own unique gladiatorial arsenal for Alina as they take on increasingly difficult battles, presenting fresh challenges with each attempt.

To survive, players will need to employ a wide range of strategies, including various types of attacks, dodging, pushing, and even taking advantage of the lively arena crowd to resist and emerge victorious.

The hex-based tactics of “Alina of the Arena” emphasize strategic positioning over simple attack and defense. Players can outmaneuver their opponents by having them attack each other, using terrain, or even picking up objects thrown into the arena by crowds to gain the advantage, creating exciting tactical clashes.

One of the standout features of “Alina of the Arena” is its dual equipment system, allowing players to wield weapons and equipment in both hands. Whether opting for the increased damage of dual-wielding daggers, the balanced performance of a sword and shield combination, or the absolute chaos of a two-handed weapon, the game challenges players to plan and adapt their build to the battle in question.
