Funcom and Shiro Games will release Dune: Spice Wars for Xbox Series on November 28

Publisher Funcom and developer Shiro Games have announced that the real-time strategy game Dune: Spice Wars It will arrive on Xbox Series on November 28. In addition, it will be available through Xbox Game Pass. Dune: Spice Wars was initially released in Early Access for PC via Steam on April 26, 2022, followed by a full release on September 14, 2023.

Game Description: Dune: Spice Wars is a 4X real-time strategy game developed by the creators of the acclaimed Northgard. Set in Frank Herbert’s groundbreaking Dune universe, players must lead their faction and fight for control and supremacy over the ruthless desert planet of Arrakis. Spice is the most valuable resource in the universe. The spice prolongs life, expands consciousness, and makes interstellar travel possible. Found only on Arrakis, it is sought after by the most influential forces in the Empire.

Players will scan the landscape for signs of worms or risk losing their troops and spice gatherers to colossal sandworms that will emerge from the dunes to devour them whole. They must crush their opponents in combat, outmaneuver them through political intrigue, and undermine them with their network of illusory spies. They will experience the unique universe of Dune, one of the most influential science fiction environments ever created.

The game features iconic characters such as Duke Leto Atreides, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV, Esmar Tuek and Liet Kynes. While leading their faction to victory, players must remain alert as opposing factions seek to gain the advantage and the planet itself threatens vast deserts, massive storms, and the dreaded sandworms.
