The developer M2 has announced that DoDonPachi Blissful Death Re:Incarnation will include DoDonPachi III, a version of DoDonPachi Blissful Death and precursor to DoDonPachi Blissful Death Black Label developed for the international audience. While DoDonPachi III has been playable in select video game stores in Japan in very rare cases, this is the first time the game will be widely available on consoles.
Some notable differences in DoDonPachi III include the presence of English text (including endings), the ability to keep up to three remaining lives when starting your second game, adjustments to the maximum score, and different Extend conditions in your second game. DoDonPachi Blissful Death Re:Incarnation will also feature newly drawn artwork and other additional options. The images of the “See. 2023” will appear in the Element Doll selection, end of stage and completion screens. The Element Doll selection and ending illustrations are by Junya Inoue, while the ending illustrations are by Haruhata.
The new illustrations and illustrations of the “Ver. 2002” can be toggled in the “Other Settings” menu of “Game Settings”, although the illustrations in “View. 2002” will always be displayed in alternate versions as DoDonPachi Blissful Death Black Label, regardless of configuration.
DoDonPachi Blissful Death Re:Incarnation is scheduled to release on PlayStation 4 and Switch on December 7 in Japan. Get ready to immerse yourself in this enhanced experience and enjoy the exciting additions that come with this new version of the classic!
