Xbox Game Studios and Kojima Productions announce OD, a new project that challenges the limits of gaming and cinema


Xbox Game Studios and Kojima Productions have revealed O.D., a game that “explores the concept of testing your fear threshold.” Although no platforms or release date were announced, the news brings with it an exciting collaboration with award-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele, director of acclaimed films such as Get Out, Us and Nope, who will be one of several narrators involved in the project.

Game Description: OD, a game created by Hideo Kojima, dives into exploring the concept of testing your fear threshold and what “OD on fear” means, all while blurring the lines between gaming and film. The game promises to offer a unique and totally new experience, defying expectations and taking players into uncharted territory.

Collaboration with Jordan Peele: Renowned Academy Award-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele joins the project as one of the narrators, bringing his expertise in creating immersive and exciting cinematic experiences. The collaboration with Xbox Game Studios and its cloud gaming technology also stands out as an integral part of Hideo Kojima’s vision to create an entirely new style of gaming.

Star Cast: The teaser reveals Sophia Lillis (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), Hunter Schaffer (Euphoria) and Udo Kier (Flesh for Frankenstein) as the main leads of the upcoming project, adding a touch of big name to the cast.
