10 Chambers announces Den of Wolves, an exciting cooperative techno-thriller heist game

The Swedish study 10 Chamberscomprised of industry veterans known for PAYDAY: The Heist, PAYDAY 2, and GTFO, has revealed their next project: Den of Wolvesa cooperative techno-thriller heist game designed by Ulf Andersson, creator of PAYDAY: The Heist and PAYDAY 2. The game will be available for PC via Steam, although a release date has not been announced.

“Having worked on heist games in the past that channeled classic bank heist themes, we wanted to take Den of Wolves in an exciting new direction that would allow us to elevate what a heist can be,” said Ulf Andersson, founder and creative director of 10 Chambers, in a press release. “You can only rob so many banks. “The sci-fi themes and gameplay elements of Den of Wolves gave us the freedom to offer more variety in the heists, incorporating corporate espionage, sabotage and assassinations.”

Simon Viklund, co-founder and narrative and audio director of 10 Chambers, added: “We greatly value the art of world-building, so although Den of Wolves is not an open-world game, the story and narrative we have created around Midway City is considerable. We want Midway to feel like a believable near-future city where late-stage capitalism has run amok, and corporations dictate the rules. As a player, you reside in the underground domains of Midway City with no real identity or documentation, building your allegiances to become a criminal entrepreneur through its black market of temporary jobs.”

Game summary according to the Steam page: Den of Wolves is a first-person cooperative heist game where you and your friends act as criminals for hire in Midway City, an unregulated innovation zone. It takes advantage of the growing need for “rogue commissions” created by rival business entities in this corporate haven. With Den of Wolves, they’re creating an action-packed techno-thriller: a cooperative session heist game where you can make your mark whether you have 20 minutes or two hours to play.

Game Highlights:

  • Plan and execute robberies through industrial espionage, sabotage, robbery and assassinations.
  • Dynamic and unpredictable missions where your team dives from stealth to full action and back again in amazing scenarios.
  • Form your team, choose the best strategy, acquire weapons, gadgets and intelligence, penetrate security systems and execute the robbery.

Den of Wolves promises an exciting experience as you work together to carry out heists and, with its focus on narrative and the world built around Midway City, seeks to immerse players in a captivating techno-thriller universe.
