Bandai Namco Releases Winter Update for Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits

Bandai Namco has released the long-awaited winter update for Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits, which features the new “Net Sniper” game mode. Additionally, an exciting new event called “Shark Festival” has been announced, starting in January 2024. We detail what’s new below.

New “Net Sniper” Game Mode

The winter update includes the new “Net Sniper” game mode. In this exciting mode, players will participate in a shooting game where they will cast their nets to catch as many fish as possible. By collecting “Summon Stones” obtained by catching enough fish, players will be able to summon the boss fish. Once the boss fish appears, you will need to reduce your HP to zero to clear the stage. Additionally, recovery and upgrade items will be dropped, and players will need to dodge damage by hitting fish or being attacked. To make it even more exciting, players can use the “Rod Controller for Nintendo Switch” (sold separately) to cast their nets faster. This mode also allows for cooperation between two players, working together to catch the powerful boss fish.

“Shark Festival” event in January 2024

In January 2024, the “Shark Festival” event will begin. During this exciting festival, players will have the opportunity to catch different rare sharks every month. The event begins with the appearance of the nurse shark in January, famous for its large size and open mouth. Players will be able to earn in-game gifts based on the number of times they catch the shark each month. By catching the wide variety of unique sharks that appear monthly, you can claim monthly prizes, including original in-game t-shirts! The Shark Festival will be available starting January 1, 2024.

Available Now for Switch

Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits is now available for Nintendo Switch, offering players the opportunity to immerse themselves in exciting fishing experiences with these new additions. Get ready to cast your nets and participate in the exciting Shark Festival!
