Publisher PLAION and developer Nine Dots Studio have revealed exciting plans for the release of Outward: Definitive Editionan open-world fantasy RPG, on the Nintendo Switch console in 2024. The news was announced today, and the task of bringing the game to the Nintendo platform will be carried out by SneakyBox.
“Bringing Outward to the Switch has always been a dream of ours,” said Guillaume Boucher-Vidal, CEO and creative director of Nine Dots Studio, in a press release. “To be honest, I had my doubts that a Switch version would even be possible. Outward is a large game that was created in a rather peculiar context and has very specific technical limitations. The SneakyBox team really made magic with this adaptation. “I’m happy that there’s a new way to play our game, and with devices like the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch, it’s quite fitting that our game is now easy to take with you everywhere.”
