Bandai Namco releases new Tekken 8 trailer narrated by Brian Cox and announces game details

Bandai Namco has released an exciting new trailer for Tekken 8 which tells the story of the series so far, told by Scottish actor Brian Cox. This preview gives fans a look at the evolution of the saga as they prepare for the next installment of the legendary fighting game.

Tekken 8 features a cast of 32 fighters completely redesigned for a new generation. Detailed, scratch-built character models coupled with high-fidelity graphics push the limits of next-gen hardware by adding new weight and atmosphere to iconic Tekken battles. Vibrant environments and destructible stages combine to create an overwhelming sense of immersion, offering the ultimate gaming experience.

The story of Tekken 8 continues the tragic saga of the Mishima and Kazama bloodlines, and their world-shaking father-son clashes, beginning six months after the close of the last showdown. Jin Kazama’s determination and growth mark a new chapter in this timeless saga.

The new battle system, Heat, intensifies the aggressive nature of combat, while maintaining the unique gameplay feel and tactics of the Tekken series. The addition of destructible environments increases the intensity of the battles, while the powerful special moves, Rage Arts, will captivate players and spectators alike.

In Tekken 8, Bandai Namco introduces the new Arcade Quest single-player mode, where players can create their own unique avatar and embark on their new Tekken life. Face challenges across various rivals in multiple arcades as the story unfolds, while mastering essential skills in Tekken 8. Unlock a variety of customization items for characters and avatars as you progress through the game.

Tekken 8 is scheduled to launch on January 26, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, with a demo now available. Prepare to immerse yourself in the thrill of intense battles and rich narrative that Tekken 8 promises to offer fans of the series and new players alike.
