FOAMSTARS, the colorful party shooter in which teams of four players face off in epic foam battles, will launch for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on February 6 as part of the Monthly Games lineup for PlayStation Plus members, announced the publisher Square Enix and developer Toylogic. Starting March 5, FOAMSTARS will be priced at $29.99 and will require a PlayStation Plus subscription to play.
New Content and Multiplayer Game Modes At launch, FOAMSTARS will offer three player-versus-player multiplayer game modes: “Smash the Star,” “Happy Bath Survival,” and the newly revealed “Rubber Duck Party.” Each mode features three maps designed to intensify the gaming experience and offer original, fun and strategic experiences in each game. To add an extra challenge, maps are randomized in matchmaking to keep everyone on their toes.
FOAMSTARS Missions and Challenges FOAMSTARS will include solo and team-based missions, where players must protect Bath Vegas from random encounters. These missions provide the opportunity to meet FOAMSTARS athletes, hone skills, and play with friends, preparing for competitive PvP matches. Additionally, the game will feature numerous in-game challenges that will offer exciting rewards, such as new playable characters or experience bonuses for the season pass.
Seasonal Updates Throughout the Year FOAMSTARS will receive free themed updates over the course of a year, offering players new experiences including cosmetics, playable characters, maps and game modes. Each season will come with an optional Premium Season Pass, allowing players to immediately unlock season-exclusive characters and cosmetics.
