Publisher Phoenixx and developer SUPER STARMINE have announced the release of Magic Chaos, a multiplayer shooter for PC via Steam, scheduled for March 8. The “bullet hell” genre has been known for its difficulty, but the combination of love for online multiplayer led SUPER STARMINE to create a unique take on the genre.
In a press statement, SUPER STARMINE director Machicoh said: “The bullet hell genre has been known for its difficulty, but our love for online multiplayer led us to create a unique take on the genre. Magic Chaos is incredibly fun to play and surprisingly deep, with many different strategies. We look forward to seeing how the metagame develops at launch.”
Game Description: Magic Chaos offers a chaotic and entertaining experience for up to four players. Players can choose from eight cute but deadly heroines, each with different magical abilities. The game features fast-paced shooting action in all directions in vibrant arenas.
- Last player standing: Take on your friends by launching volleys of bullets in this easy-to-learn but difficult-to-master multiplayer game. No two battles are the same, and the goal is to be the last girl standing.
- Unique abilities: Each hero has unique abilities, such as Rabi’s ability to deal ice damage that slows opponents or summon a frozen wall to block projectiles. Zophie can teleport for surprise attacks and dodge bullets, while Showdown weakens enemy power and strengthens her own moveset simultaneously.
- Variety of strategies: Use each character’s unique abilities, primary abilities, and interchangeable secondary abilities to create your own fighting style. From creating slow bullet walls to fast sniping attacks, Magic Chaos offers a wide variety of strategies.
