Shinyuden announces the release of Retro Mystery Club Vol. 2: The Beppu Case for Switch and PC via Steam this spring in the West for $9.90 / €9.90. The mystery adventure game, which was already released in Japan for Switch on July 7, 2022, followed by PC via Steam on August 8, 2022, and PlayStation 4 on September 9, 2022, will reach new audiences in West.

Retor Mystery Club Vol. 2: The Beppu Case immerses players in an intriguing story that takes place in Beppu, Oita Prefecture. As you explore this picturesque setting, you’ll embark on an investigation into a mysterious death alongside your junior detective partner, Ken. The plot revolves around the Anan family, known for their skills in bamboo crafts, who become involved in an art event called Technomix that fuses Beppu traditions with digital art.

Meet captivating characters such as Soichiro Anan, the leader of the bamboo craftsman family; his wife Midori; the loyal housekeeper Mitsu; and the seductive Tokiko. The artistic collaboration of renowned mangaka Kiyokazu Arai adds a unique visual layer to the experience.

The prologue sets the scene in Beppu, where the Technomix event becomes the focus of attention, but envy and death threats darken the atmosphere. Players, along with their junior detective, Ken, become embroiled in the plot as they work to strengthen the security of the event and uncover the truth behind the dark events to come.

Retro Mystery Club Vol. 2: The Beppu Case promises to deliver a captivating mystery experience with an intriguing cast of characters and an ever-evolving plot. The game will be available in the spring for Switch and PC through Steam in the west.
