Astrolabe Games and Spikewave Games to Release First Public Demo of Hacking and Stealth Game EVOTINCTION for PC via Steam

Astrolabe Games and Spikewave Games to Release First Public Demo of Hacking and Stealth Game EVOTINCTION for PC via Steam as part of Steam Next Fest: February 2024 on February 5, the companies announced.

The game, developed by Spikewave Games and published by Astrolabe Games, features a dystopian sci-fi setting in the near future. At a remote research center called HERE, the artificial intelligence system controlling the facility becomes infected with a virus called RED, going rogue and attacking humans. Dr. Liu, head of research and development at HERE, decides to infiltrate the facility to confront the infected AI system, discover the truth and save humanity.

EVOTINCTION offers a futuristic tactical infiltration experience, where players take on the role of Dr. Liu, who must use his hacking skills to neutralize adversaries and avoid unnecessary encounters as he ventures deeper into the facility. Players will be able to use a variety of technological abilities, such as long-distance signal disruptors, electromagnetic interference, and system takeover, to make their way through the facility.

The game promises to challenge the conventions of the genre, as the protagonist, Dr. Liu, is not an expert in hand-to-hand combat or the use of weapons, but rather an ordinary researcher with technological skills. As Dr. Liu furthers his investigation, he discovers clues about the true reasons behind the virus outbreak and the behavior of the infected AI.

EVOTINCTION is currently in development for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam). The public demo will provide players with a first look at this exciting hacking and stealth game before its official release.
