Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo now available on PlayStation Store

Square Enix has announced that a demo is now available for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth via PlayStation Store. This demo allows players to enjoy the Nibelheim episode, which forms the opening chapter of the game’s story, as well as the Junon area episode, where they can experience the world map and exploration elements of the game.

Players who have save data from the demo will be able to claim a kupo charm and a set of adventure items in the full game. The Kupo Charm is an accessory that increases the number of resource items mined at a set rate, while the Survival Set includes a selection of items to aid in the adventure, such as potions and ethers. Additionally, those who complete the Nibelheim episode will be able to skip the same section in the full game.

Importantly, the save data must be present on the PlayStation 5 console. The Junon area episode will be available after an update on February 21, 2024 and will be accessible after completing the Nibelheim episode. However, the Junon area featured in this demo has been modified to make the content more compact, so progress cannot be transferred to the full game.

Before you dive into the full game, be sure to apply the latest update to get the Kupo Charm, the Survival Set, and the ability to skip sections covered in the Nibelheim episode demo.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a remake of the original Final Fantasy VII game released in 1997. It is the second part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy and is based on the section of the original story leading to the Forgotten Capital, with new elements added. . The game is scheduled to be released for PlayStation 5 on February 29. Don’t miss your chance to try out this exciting demo before the full game is released!
