Publisher Compile Heart and developer Sting have recently announced the release of the bullet hell tactical role-playing game, Touhou Spell Carnival, has been delayed in Japan. Originally scheduled for April 18, the game will now launch on June 6 due to “various circumstances” cited by the companies.
Touhou Spell Carnival will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Switch, offering players the opportunity to immerse themselves in a world full of action and strategy in the Touhou universe.
To make up for the delay, the companies have announced that a pack of 54 Touhou Spell Carnival-themed playing cards will be included with pre-sales of the game, while supplies last. These cards, which include the suits Ace, Jack, Queen, King and Joker, feature illustrations drawn by Katsuyuki Hirano, adding additional appeal for fans of the series.
The delay may be disappointing for eager fans, but it also gives the developers a chance to further polish and improve the game to deliver the best possible experience to players when it finally launches in June. Touhou fans and lovers of tactical games can look forward to the arrival of Touhou Spell Carnival and enjoy the exciting battles and challenges that await them in the world of Gensokyo.
