Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD coming to Switch on June 27

Nintendo has announced that Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD will be released for Switch on June 27. This game, known as Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon in North America, was first released for the 3DS on March 20, 2013 in Japan, March 24, 2013 in North America, and March 28, 2013 in Europe. .

A description of the game provided by Nintendo.com reveals that players will be able to explore multiple haunted mansions with Luigi and his trusty Poltergust 5000. They must progress through various missions to recover the lost fragments of the Dark Moon, scattered in several different haunted mansions, each with its own puzzles and ghosts to capture.

The game offers a visually enhanced experience in HD compared to the original Nintendo 3DS version. Players will be able to use the powerful Poltergust 5000 to vacuum up ghosts and blow air into every nook and cranny of the mansions, in search of a high score.

The game’s plot takes place in Evershade Valley, where the Dark Moon has a calming effect on the resident ghosts. However, when the Dark Moon shatters and falls into the valley, the friendly ghosts turn hostile, and Luigi must muster courage to restore the Dark Moon to its correct place in the sky.

In addition to the main adventure, the game offers the chance to take on additional challenges in the ScareScraper, a haunted building full of ghosts and unique challenges not found in the main adventure. Players will be able to team up with up to three friends to explore the terrifying tower locally or online.

With this HD re-release, Luigi’s Mansion fans will be able to enjoy an enhanced experience of one of the series’ most beloved titles on the Nintendo Switch platform.
