Shinjuku-based studio Studio Lights, known for its work lighting environments and cinematic scenes in titles such as Final Fantasy XVI and Forspoken, has announced its next project: “Mononoke no Kuni“, an isekai-type action RPG. The game is scheduled for release on PC via Steam in Spring 2024, with plans to release on PlayStation, Switch, iOS, and Android. A specific PlayStation platform has not been specified in the announcement.
Mononoke no Kuni will take you on an adventure in a 3D open world populated by beasts and gods, where you will be accompanied by your adorable puppy Musashi. In this roguelite game, you’ll be able to fish, farm, and cross islands by boat to explore various lands. Your objective will be to return to your original world from the world of Mononoke, a land covered in impurities. To achieve this, you must help the Mononoke, devise strategies in dungeons and defeat monsters to restore the Omiwa Shrine.
The game is recommended for players who enjoy cozy village development, unique art, story analysis, and Japanese-style fantasy. Additionally, Tokyo Game Show 2023 attendees have the opportunity to play Mononoke no Kuni until September 24 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan.
Get ready for an exciting isekai adventure in Mononoke no Kuni and accompany Musashi in this world full of mysteries and challenges.
