Whitethorn Games and Gamious launch interactive story game Lake for Switch

Publisher Whitethorn Games and developer Gamious announced they will release the interactive story game Lake for Nintendo Switch on February 15. Lake was first released for Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on September 1, 2021, followed by PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on April 8, 2023.

About Lake: Set in Providence Oaks, Oregon, in 1986, Lake is an incredibly beautiful and relaxed open-world game, consisting of an exploration car driving simulation and a story-driven point-and-click adventure. She takes the role of Meredith Weiss, who takes a break from her successful career in the city, visiting her childhood lakeside town for two weeks, to replace her father as a mail carrier. During your stay, you meet some familiar faces and also many new people as you drive the mail truck through the picturesque Oregon forests, making stops at beautifully detailed locations to deliver letters and packages, and meet the town’s eccentric locals. At the end of the two weeks, she will have to decide whether to return to her life in the city or stay in Providence Oaks.

Key Features:

  • Escape to a beautiful rustic setting without cell phones and Internet.
  • Meet a variety of captivating characters, each with their own personality and quirks, as you experience the ’80s all over again.
  • Choose after-work activities: hang out with your friends, help your neighbors, or stay home and read a book.
  • Experience two weeks of a branching story that doesn’t stray from everyday themes.
  • Determine your own story – there are no “right” or “wrong” answers or endings. Just whatever you want to happen.
  • Optimized for PlayStation 5.
