Square Enix has disappointingly revealed that the eagerly-anticipated Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake will not have an upgrade path from Nintendo Switch to Nintendo Switch 2. This means that if you purchase the Nintendo Switch version and end up getting a Nintendo Switch 2 there’s no chance for you to upgrade your copy to the superior version. The news was detailed on the official Dragon Quest website.
Update: The game will also be a Game-Key Card game there is no cross-save support.
