G-MODE and Plus81 Announce Shinjuku Soumei Visual Novel


The companies G-MODE and Plus81 have announced the launch of Shinjuku Soumei, a visual novel that raises questions about the value of life in a city where the boundaries between life and death intersect. Although no platforms or release date have been revealed, this heavy-hitting title is expected to be available soon.

In Shinjuku Soumei, the protagonist is a gravedigger who uses his powers of “immortality” and “hearing the voices of the dead” to carry out dangerous funerals in the city of Shinjuku. Next to him is an astral girl that he met in Shinjuku, who provides him with unconditional support. The core development team includes Christmas Tina writer Tomo Kataoka and popular illustrator Kohaku Sumeragi, promising a visually stunning and narrative experience.
