QUByte Interactive, the publisher and developer of MARS 2120has announced that this Metroidvania-style game will leave the early access phase and will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on March 28, 2024. The The game made its Early Access debut on Steam on October 26, 2022.
MARS 2120 is a Metroidvania that offers immersive hand-to-hand combat inspired by classics such as Super Metroid, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night or Guacamelee. Players will use special abilities related to elements such as ice, fire and electricity to help Sergeant Anna “Thirteen” Charlotte navigate the colony and unlock the secrets of Mars.
The game raises questions about why humans dream of space exploration and what happens when that dream turns into a nightmare. Players will follow Sergeant Anna “Thirteen” Charlotte on a space mission to the first human colony on Mars.
