Neowiz acquires a 21% stake in the Polish studio BLANK.


Lies of P publisher Neowiz has acquired a 21 percent stake in BLANK., the Polish game studio founded in early 2023 by former CD Projekt RED developers: Mateusz Kanik, Mikolaj Marchewka, Jedrzej Mroz and Marcin Jefimow. Neowiz invested $17 million to acquire the stake. The strategic partnership aims to expand the presence of both companies in the global console market, and Neowiz hopes to consolidate its position in that market. Both companies will remain competitive development studios and will collaborate on various business opportunities as part of ongoing efforts.

“As a strategic investor, we see BLANK. as a studio poised to emerge as a formidable contender in the AAA quality gaming space,” Neowiz co-CEO Seung-Cheol Kim said in a press release. “We also recognize substantial synergies between our experiences in creating unique titles. BLANK’s debut game. features a different structure than most narrative-driven games. With its distinctive approach to the apocalypse, the experience will prove refreshing and familiar to audiences, with intriguing twists.”
