Nintendo re-advertises Switch Game Vouchers, can’t be used on Switch 2 exclusives

Nintendo of America is back advertising the handy Nintendo Switch Online Game Vouchers, which if you purchase your Nintendo games digitally, are a decent deal. You get two pairs of vouchers for $99.98 to spend on first party Nintendo games on the Nintendo eShop and a few third party ones. Nintendo has previously said that these Nintendo Switch Online Game Vouchers will not work for Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games. Hopefully the Kyoto-based company will have an alternative Game Voucher scheme set up for the their upcoming platform, though games are expected to be slightly more pricey than current Switch games.

“Paid Nintendo Switch Online members can buy a pair of Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers for just $99.98 USD. Redeem each one for a digital game in the voucher catalog to score savings! Fan favorites like Splatoon 3, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, and many more are included. Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers cannot be redeemed for games exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 system.”
