Summer Game Fest saw an 89% year-over-year growth in live peak viewership

Geoff Keighley is no doubt delighted as Variety is reporting today that viewership for this year’s Summer Game Fest was up 89% year-over-year and had a record 50 million livestreams to boot. This basically marks a high in viewership for Keighley’s event, which is now in its sixth year. While there were a few small Nintendo Switch 2 announcements, the biggest thing at this year’s event was the debut trailer for Resident Evil Requiem, which seems set to be another great survival horror game from Capcom.
