Merge Games will publish Selfloss, a new action adventure game developed by Goodwin Games

Merge Games has announced that it will be in charge of publishing Selfloss, the upcoming action adventure game developed by Goodwin Games. This title will be available for PC through Steam, and players can now enjoy a demo of the game.

Selfloss presents a unique setting in fantastical lands where whales are worshiped in a post-apocalyptic world. Players take on the role of Kazimir, an ancient volhv who sets out on an epic journey in search of a ritual that can heal his wounded soul. On his journey, Kazimir will encounter memorable characters and must use the light of his magic staff to combat Miasm, a mysterious disease that has invaded the world.

One of the standout features of Selfloss is the central role that the magic staff plays in both the game’s mechanics and its story. Combat is strategic and dynamic, allowing players to control the character and his staff simultaneously. Additionally, players will be able to explore the world of Selfloss on foot or by boat, discovering Slavic and Icelandic myths while helping others overcome their hardships and afflictions.

The game features a unique world of sea worship with whale gods, inspired by the landscapes of Iceland. His artistic style is based on post-impressionism, with colors carefully selected in reference to color theories such as Simultaneous Contrast.

Selfloss promises to offer players an immersive and exciting gaming experience, full of action, exploration and mythology.
