Publisher Good Shepherd Entertainment and developer Upstream Arcade have announced a delay in the release of the roguelite-style action-adventure game.Hellboy: Web of Wyrd.” The previously scheduled release date of October 4 has been postponed by two weeks, and the game will be available starting October 18. It will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam.
Good Shepherd Entertainment mentioned in a press release that developer Upstream Arcade is working hard to ensure that all players, whether long-time fans or newcomers to the Hellboy universe, have the best experience possible.
“Hellboy: Web of Wyrd” immerses players in the shoes of Hellboy himself, played by Lance Reddick, as he is sent to the strange realm of Wyrd. When an agent from the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense (BPRD) disappears while investigating the Butterfly House and psychic spikes are discovered around the world, the world’s leading change hunter is called in to confront the supernatural: Hellboy. Players must track down this missing colleague while facing massive, ferocious monsters in the Wyrd with devastating chains of melee and ranged attacks, while developing Hellboy’s power into something that rivals the fiercest warriors in Hell.
This delay will allow the development team to further refine the gameplay experience and provide fans with a Hellboy adventure that meets their expectations. Comic book and action game lovers will have to wait a little longer to join Hellboy in his next exploit in the mysterious realm of Wyrd.
