Neil Druckmann Reveals Exciting Concept for Third The Last of Us Game

During the recently aired documentary “Grounded II: Making The Last of Us Part II“, Neil Druckmann shared his thoughts on the future of the acclaimed The Last of Us series. Having created two successful installments, Druckmann revealed that he has conceived a concept for a third game that he considers just as exciting as the previous two.

Druckmann said: “The first game had such a clear concept of the unconditional love a parent has for their child. The second, once we got to this idea of seeking justice at any cost, justice for those you love, I felt like there was a clear concept here and a continuity from the first game about love. If we never do it again, this is a good ending point. The last bite of the apple, the story is finished.”

However, the series co-creator revealed that he has recently found a concept for a third game that he considers just as exciting as the previous two. Although he does not have a concrete story, he believes that this new concept could be the starting point for a third installment that continues the narrative of the series in a coherent way.

Additionally, Druckmann clarified incorrect reports about a third game focusing on Tommy, clarifying that this was a smaller story and was never a full title. However, he still believes that this story will see the light of day at some point, whether as a game or a series.

Druckmann’s comments have generated excitement among fans of the series, who are eagerly waiting to find out what the future holds for The Last of Us.
