Touhou Danmaku Kagura: Phantasia Lost is coming to Nintendo Switch on September 5


Unknown X has announced that the Switch version of the rhythm game from the Touhou Project series, Touhou Danmaku Kagura: Phantasia Lost, will be released on September 5. This version will have a new mode with touch screen support. Touhou Danmaku Kagura: Phantasia Lost was first released for PC via Steam on February 8.

Worldwide, the Switch version will be available in standard digital, Deluxe, and “Gensokyo: Memorial Digital Archive” editions. The Deluxe Edition includes the base game and Bonus Song Packs 1 through 4. The “Gensokyo: Memorial Digital Archive” includes the content of the Deluxe Edition plus a digital art book and the digital soundtrack. In Japan, a standard physical edition will be available for 4,400 yen, and a “Gensokyo: Memorial Digital Archive Box” for 22,000 yen. The latter includes the base game, Extra Song Packs 1 to 4, a special box set, an art book, a six-CD soundtrack file, and a scenario book for the Touhou Danmaku Kagura smartphone game.

Game Description:

Touhou Danmaku Kagura: Phantasia Lost is a remake of the first rhythm game in the Touhou Project series, Touhou Danmaku Kagura, now as a standalone version. Play Danmaku Kagura and collect the Mitama Cards, the Memory Fragments, to find the key to rebuilding the desolate Phantasia.

  • Two Different Rhythm Game Experiences:
    • Kagura Stage: Hit the notes at the right time and rack up combos to get a high score.
    • Danmaku Stage: Experience a new combination between danmaku shooting games and rhythm games.
  • Wide Variety of Music: Includes over 160 songs, including original Touhou music.
  • History: Reimu sets out on a journey to rebuild Phantasia, collecting the Memory Fragments.
