Final Fantasy VII Remake Creators Voice Video hints entire trilogy coming to Switch 2

The Final Fantasy fans amongst you who have yet to play Final Fantasy VII Remake will be excited to hear that it sounds as though Square Enix is looking to bring the entire trilogy to Nintendo Switch 2. The news came about during the latest Creators Voice video series by Nintendo, during which it was hinted that the team at Square Enix is planning to bring the other two games over to Switch 2. While this may seem obvious, it should be noted that the first game in the Remake series was a very linear affair and launched on PlayStation 4 in 2020. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on the other hand was a highly ambitious and visually impressive open world game and was only available on PlayStation 5 and later PC. The second and third games will have to be scaled back a little for Switch 2, but they should certainly be worth the effort and the wait.
