Bandai Namco has announced its post launch plans for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. There will be the ability to upgrade your copy if you play the game on the Nintendo Switch 2. This will give improved resolution and presumably framerates. You can check the before and after images of the Nintendo Switch version without the update and with the update. The update is scheduled to be released on 14th November. here’s some further information about the update.

“As a point of caution when applying the update, some save data from when Nintendo Switch™ version of the software was played on Nintendo Switch™ system can be carried over, but battle replay data, edit data created in custom battles, and online battle records cannot be carried over.

Conversely, after applying the update on Nintendo Switch™ 2 system, then returning to play Nintendo Switch version of the software on original Nintendo Switch™ system, some data can be carried over, while others cannot.

If you play the Nintendo Switch™ version of the software on the Nintendo Switch™ 2 system with the update applied, you will be able to battle online or offline with users who are either playing the Nintendo Switch™ 2 version of the software, or the Nintendo Switch™ version of the software on Nintendo Switch™ 2 system with the same update applied.

However, please note that you will not be able to battle online or offline with users who are playing the Nintendo Switch™ version of the software on the Nintendo Switch™ system.”
