This issue can happen to all types of products that have lithium-ion batteries, such as laptops etc. The swellings in this case can cause the Nintendo Switch 2 back panels to expand. If this has happened to your unit you will need to contact Nintendo as a swollen battery pack could become a potential fire hazard, so be sure to reach out the customer service. Nintendo is apparently looking into the issue.
