SEGA has unleashed more details about the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the fun Sonic x Shadow Generations. The company revealed that the game ships with a Game-Key Card and requires a 24GB download. The biggest news revealed is that there is no upgrade path from the Nintendo Switch version of Sonic x Shadow Generations to the Nintendo Switch 2. So if you want the superior version you’ll need to buy the game again. Sonic x Shadow Generations launches on the Nintendo Switch 2 on 5th June.
- The Nintendo Switch™ version cannot be upgraded to the Nintendo Switch™ 2 version. (The same applies to DLC.)
- Saved data can be transferred from the Nintendo Switch™ version to the Nintendo Switch™ 2 version, but not vice versa.
- Even if you meet the required storage space listed below, a download of up to 24 GB is needed to play the digital edition.
