astragon Entertainment and Randwerk announce “ABRISS: build to destroy” for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on March 7

Publisher astragon Entertainment and developer Randwerk will release the physical destruction-based construction game, ABRISS: build to destroy, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on March 7 at a price of $19.99, according to the companies’ official announcement. Digital pre-sales are now available.

ABRISS: build to destroy made its debut in Early Access for PC via Steam on April 14, 2022, followed by a full release on September 5, 2023. The game offers a unique experience where players build structures and then view them collapse spectacularly.

Game Description: ABRISS is an atmospheric construction game based on the physics of destruction. Players build structures from parts to collapse them on their targets. Unlock new parts, destroy more and witness entropy at its worst in digital-brutalist cityscapes. Build to destroy.

Build: Choose from parts with different weights, shapes and functions to build a structure. Thruster + Connector + Pump? You just built a rocket. Thruster + Rotator + Laser? You just built a spinning laser rocket. Pillar + Connector + Ultra Heavy Hub? That’s a giant hammer. Be creative and clever with the parts you get, try to destroy the target with fewer parts or in a more elegant way; It will be a spectacle anyway.

Destroy: Try to hit the main targets to win a level in campaign mode. Destroy an armored wall first, then shoot through the hole into the vulnerable center. Try to hit a bomb in the environment. Use environmental mechanics like giant pistons to catapult Ultra Heavy Cubes toward a target. Or just throw everything you have at your targets, that could work too.

Key Features:

  • Complex Destruction System: Static simulation, thousands of tiny debris particles, entire chunks of targets flying into the abyss, all with barely any frame rate slowdown.
  • Bell: Seven multi-level worlds, including bonus levels, each with a hand-crafted destructible cityscape. You’ll unlock new parts as you progress, and each world has its own special environmental mechanics.
  • Sandbox mode: Try new building patterns. Play with parts you haven’t unlocked yet. Experiment with 1000 lasers at once if you wish.
  • New: Infinity Mode: Play the new Infinite game mode and try to reach the highest score.
  • Photo Mode: Take photos with a free camera to get the best composition. Freeze or slow down time to get the perfect shot of the destruction you just caused. Apply filters to change the vibe of your photos. Export in crisp 4K JPEG and share.
